“I had not been playing flute or doing music of any kind for 3 years. I was at a different school than my undergrad, living in a new city, and besides my husband, I didn’t really know anyone... A friend got me involved with the HFC during the flute fest. Through that experience, I met flutists that I would learn from and that would help me get back to my passion for flute and music...Had I not made those vital connections with members of the HFC, I don’t think my masters diploma would be hanging on my wall right now and I would certainly have missed out on the treasured friendships with flutists who share my love for music and flute.”
