Master Classes

The Houston Flute Club hosts several master classes with renowned artist teachers throughout the season.

At our annual Flute Fest, we are proud to offer opportunities to perform in master classes with our guest artist in the Advanced Master Class, or in the High School Master Class taught by expert Houston-based professional flutists and professors.

Flute Fest Master Classes

These classes will take place as part of Flute Fest, held on April 11, 2026 at the University of Houston Moores School of Music.

Advanced Masterclass

Taught by 2026 Flute Fest Guest Artist, Marianne Gedigian, Professor of Flute at Rice University and Haynes Artist.

Open to advanced-level flutists studying in their undergraduate or graduate degree.

High School Masterclass

Taught by Peggy Russell, Affiliate Artist in Flute at the University of Houston and former flutist with the Houston Ballet Orchestra.

Open to flutists in high school.

Season Programming

The Houston Flute Club often hosts additional classes throughout the season, with opportunities for members to apply for a performance spot! Anyone is welcome to attend these classes - members attend for free!
