Apply to Present or Perform at Houston Flute Fest 2026

Thank you for your interest in presenting or performing at Houston Flute Club's Annual Flute Fest. We are thrilled to offer the opportunity for Houston-area flutists of all ages to share their knowledge and and voices with our community. 


All presentations and performances selected will occur in person at Flute Fest on Saturday, April 11th, 2026 at the University of Houston Moores School of Music. 


To complete this application, please complete the $10 proposal fee and ensure your application meets the requirements below.


The deadline to submit is February 2, 2026.


Performance Rules:

  • Your proposed program must be at least 1 complete piece or movement(s) - no excerpts - and may be either a solo OR ensemble performance. 

  • You may perform multiple pieces. The total performance time may not exceed 45 minutes, though shorter performances are also accepted. A recital program at Flute Fest will be comprised of multiple accepted flutists' submissions. 

  • HFC Flute Fest does not provide accompanists, collaborators, or instruments.

  • There is no age limit to perform at Flute Fest.


Presentation Rules:

  • Your entire presentation, including any Q&A if desired, may not exceed 1 hour.

  • Visual elements (i.e. slide decks) and audience participation elements are highly encouraged.

  • Presenters must supply their own handouts if desired.

  • HFC encourages topics featuring or relevant to diverse and underrepresented communities, but will fairly consider other topics as well.

  • There is no age limit to present at Flute Fest.
