ABOUT THE HOUSTON FLUTE CLUB |
|
| The Houston Flute Club (HFC) Membership includes professional performers and teachers, students, and adult amateurs. The Club has been serving flutists and music lovers in the Houston metropolitan area for over 22 years with purpose of elevating and promoting the art of flute playing through education, competitions, public performances and other events. The Flute Choir of the Houston Flute Club rehearses monthly, and currently performs approximately four times a year. The group performed at the National Flute Association Convention in Dallas in 2001. Each year the HFC sponsors a Flute Fest which offers masterclasses, recitals, and seminars. Recent festivals have featured internationally renown flutists such as Bradley Garner, Ervin Monroe, Laurel Zucker, Gary Schocker, Tadeu Coelho, Alexa Still, and Leone Buyse.
